From the conversation with @selfwealth about The robo-predators , it became apparent that Australia has a sizable Self-Directed pension system.

Countries that have a Self Directed pension system (and therefore can be disrupoted by robo-advisors)
Australia
Canada

Countries that DONT have a Self Directed pension system
Switzerland

In USA you have to jump through hoops but you can choose to be self directed. UK ditto.
